What is the DoI?
The Dic+ionary of Inspira+ion is a resource of things that have inspired me when I write.
The content comes from all sorts of things, such as anime, mythology, Power Rangers, Masters
of the Universe, Jackie Chan Adventures, comics, and other stuff. Because this is the bare
bones version, and because of time, I'm keeping it to one long page.
What am I supposed to do with this stuff?
The purpose of this is to inspire others with the stuff that inspired/inspires me. Try
basing characters or items off 'em. It can lead to some interesting stuff. ^_^

Items and Weapons
Ambrosia- a food produced by the Adreenids that increases the eater's strength.
Aquaman's Trident- a powerful trident, made by King Neptune, a former king of
Atlantis. it was made from the energies that held Atlantis above the water. once the trident
was formed, Atlantis sank. the trident was used to drive away Ichthulhu in Neptune's time.
it manifests energy in yellow.
Count Marzo's Amulet- an amulet that possesses Count Marzo's powers. Marzo is
completely powerless without it. it manifests energy in scarlet red.
Daolong's Stick- a wand used by Daolong Wong. its crystal possesses all his dark
chi powers. it manifests energy in dark blue.
Demon Cards- cards used to create or summon demons, used by Diabolico, Vypra, Loki,
and Olympius.
Dog Talisman- gives the holder immortality.
Dragon Talisman- gives the holder the power of combustion, i.e. fireballs.
Evil-Lyn's Staff- the staff used by Evil-Lyn. it manifests energy in purple.
Green Lantern's Ring- a ring used by every Green Lantern. each has its own battery,
from which it draws energy. it must recharge every 24 hours. it manifests energy in bright
green. in earlier comics, its powers would be negated when it hit anything yellow.
Havok Staff- the staff used by Skeletor in most MotU series. it originally belonged to the Faceless One, Evil-Lyn's father. it manifests energy in yellow.
Horse Talisman- gives the holder the power to heal.
Key Blade- a weapon shaped in the form of a key. its power can be increased with
the use of Key Chains.
King Hiss' Staff- the staff used by King Hiss. it manifests energy in the form of
bright green serpents.
Legacy Stones- gives whoever uses one of them Legacy Armor (a samurai-esque form).
Mitama- small blue objects, which look like half a yin-yang, which possess the
souls of ancient demons. when given to a creature or person, mitama increase that creature's or
person's power greatly.
Monkey Talisman- gives the holder the ability to morph into animals.
Mjolnir- a hammer made of the magical metal Uru. it possesses lightning powers and
belongs to the Asgardian storm god, Thor. Odin gave it a number of enchantments.
Ox Talisman- gives the holder super strength.
Pig Talisman- gives the holder heat beam eyes.
Potara Earrings- earrings belonging to the upper Kais, which can fuse any two beings.
Putty- a substance used to form Rita Repulsa's minions out of.
Rabbit Talisman- gives the holder super speed.
Ram Stone- a magical stone specifically made to break through barriers.
Rat Talisman- gives the holder the power to animate inanimate objects.
Rita's Wand- a staff, usually used to enlarge monsters. it can also shoot projectiles
as well.
Rooster Talisman- gives the holder the ability to levitate.
Sheep Talisman- gives the holder the ability to astrally project themselves.
Shikon Jewel- also known as the Shikon-no-Tama, a small jewel that possesses unimaginable
power. it was accidentally shattered into shards by Kagome.
Skull Staff- a staff, similar to the Havok Staff, used by Skeletor.
Snake Talisman- gives the holder the ability to turn invisible.
Star Power- a magical power source, once held by Diabolico. after many failures,
Queen Bansheera stripped it from Diabolico and gave it to Impus, turning him into Olympius.
Suijin's Trident- the trident of the a sea goddess. it was stolen by a snake
demon, who trapped the sea goddess in a stone and took over. Miroku released the goddess
and Inu-Yasha returned the trident to restore order.
Super Putty- a more powerful form of putty, used to make more powerful minions.
Sword of Darkness- a powerful sword, weilded by the Green Ranger. Rita used it
to control him.
Sword of Power- the sword used by Adam to summon the powers of Greyskull, thus
becoming He-Man.
Tapion's Flute- a magical flute, used to control the demon Hildegarn.
Tapion's Sword- a mystical sword, forged only to cut Hildegarn in half.
Tenchi's Sword- (I've lost its official name) the sword used by Tenchi, which
feeds of the source of Ryoko's power, three magical gems.
Tenseiga- a sword forged from the fang of a great canine demon. it has the power
to heal, but only if used with a pure heart. it can also keep the weilder from death without
the holder using it.
Tetsusaiga-a sword forged from the fang of a great canine demon. it has the power to kill
100 demons with one slash. it can only be weilded by a human or half-human. it also can not
hurt humans.
Tiger Talisman- separates the holder's good half from his dark half.
Toukijin- a sword forged from the fangs of Goshinki, a demon who was able to bite
Tetsusaiga in half.
Wolf Mask- transforms the wearer into Zen-Aku.
Wrath Staff- a staff used by Andromeda.
Zedd's Staff- the staff belonging to Lord Zedd.
